The YAS Foundation is a private, non-profit, non-governmental, non-religious organization with a Board of Trustees.  All Foundation grants and scholarships are made in accordance with its procedures and subject to the requirements imposed on it as a private foundation under the U.S. federal tax law.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE award PROCESS

Please provide the introductory information and documents requested on the form below to assess your eligibility criteria.

After receiving your submission, the YAS Foundation follows this simple 3 step process to assess and select recipients of grants and scholarship awards:

  1. The YAS Foundation will review your online submissions to determine if you meet the preliminary eligibility requirements. (this review can take up to 4 weeks)
  2. If the YAS Foundation determines you are eligible for consideration, an officer of YAS Foundation will invite you to attend a workshop to guide you in the preparation of a full/final draft of your proposal including, but not limited to, a business plan, general operating plan, program schedule, and budget & capital request.  (This process can take up to 12 weeks)
  3. The YAS Foundation will review and discuss your final proposal to determine if your mission and operations align with the Founder’s funding priorities and philanthropic goals. (open schedule)  YAS Foundation reviews proposals primarily on an invitation-only basis only.
The YAS Foundation will select recipients of scholarship and grant awards based on the overall assessment outlined above. Selected recipients will be awarded annual or multi-year grants, or multiyear scholarship.

    • Why have you chosen this time to apply for implementation of your vision?

    • How would this award of funds impact humanity and planet earth?
    • When will your project/or graduation be completed. (please include a summary of the project implementation schedule.)
